Sex Ed Shorts

Sex Ed Shorts is a new way to deliver sex education.

Using Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and the new YouTube Shorts, Sex Ed Shorts is sex education in 60 seconds or less. The short format means each video delivers the most important information in bitesize chunks, which also means the content is more shareable and works across platforms.

Instagram Reels and TikTok are already based around short form vertical video content, and the content is well suited to Twitter; but the addition of YouTube Shorts as a specific platform strand on YouTube means that vertical videos of less than 60 seconds are given their own prominence, and is rapidly growing in audiences. Sex Ed Shorts is using this capability of using the same short form content on all the platforms in order to find the largest reach.

I'm starting this project partly as an experiment for my own content, but the plan is to invlove other sex educators and people with specific knowlege, who can deliver an edition of Sex Ed Shorts. One of the advantages of the format is the commitment can be as little as one video, and doesn't require any special equipment to make.
